Schedule your Engagement Session
Next up—let’s plan your engagement session! I typically schedule engagement shoots 1-2 months in advance and usually hold them on weekday evenings (Monday-Thursday) since weekends are reserved for weddings. That said, a weekend session may be possible depending on availability. Let’s find the perfect date to capture this exciting season of your journey together!

I'll be by your side every step of the way! From the moment you book, I’ll provide you with all the guidance you need to make planning easier. You’ll receive an 87-page bridal guide packed with valuable insights, followed by a style guide and an email full of helpful tips before your engagement session. As your big day approaches, I’ll also send a detailed questionnaire to ensure I’m familiar with every part of your wedding day, along with a pre-wedding detail prep checklist to keep everything seamless. I’m here to make this process stress-free and enjoyable for you!

The day you've been dreaming of is finally here—your wedding day! I’ll arrive with my second shooter, ready to make you both feel like royalty. The day will be filled with endless laughter, happy tears, and plenty of dancing. As you soak in every incredible moment, I’ll be behind the scenes, capturing the candid, timeless memories that make your love story unique. When you receive your gallery, it will beautifully reflect your day from start to finish—allowing you to relive every heartfelt moment again and again.

We had our consultation, you fell in love with my portfolio, and now you and your fiancé have officially decided to book—cue the happy dance! You can officially check one more thing off your wedding to-do list, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of your special day!

Sign Contract & Deposit
It’s time to make it officially official! I’ll be sending over your contract, which includes your chosen photography package, along with an invoice for the 40% non-refundable retainer and an initial wedding questionnaire. Once the contract is signed and the retainer is paid, your date is officially secured, and we’re all set to capture your special day!

Before your wedding day, I’ll send you a comprehensive guide to help you organize your day in a way that makes the most of your photos. I’ll share tips on the best times for couple portraits, how to work with different lighting conditions, and how to style your details, like your dress, shoes, and invitations, to create the most stunning images. I absolutely love receiving sneak peeks of your details—it’s so exciting to see what you’ve chosen and to start envisioning how it will all come together!

Where are you based, and do you travel?
I’m based in beautiful Traverse City, Michigan, but yes, I absolutely love to travel! Whether you’re planning a destination wedding, an elopement in the mountains, or a beach celebration across the country, I’m thrilled to be a part of your story, no matter where it takes place.
If your wedding is outside of the Traverse City area, I do charge a travel fee, which varies depending on the location. But don’t worry—I always make it a priority to find the most affordable travel options, so I can be there without breaking the bank. Traveling to new places for weddings is such an inspiring experience, and I truly believe it helps fuel my creativity, making your wedding photos even more special.
Wherever your wedding takes you, I’m excited to travel and capture your day in a way that reflects your unique love story!
How do you handle family photos on the wedding day?
Your will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within 60-90 days (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints!
Is engagement session included?
Yes, an engagement session is included in most of our full-day coverage packages. We value your experience as a whole, and we truly believe in the importance of an engagement session—not only to celebrate this exciting season, but also to help you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera before your big day. It’s a fun, relaxed way for us to connect and for you to get a feel for how we’ll work together on your wedding day.
What if it rains on our wedding day?
While rain on your wedding day is often seen as a sign of good luck, we know it can be a concern for many couples. Don't stress—having a backup plan for your venue is key, but rest assured that your vendors are well-prepared for any weather. We work hand-in-hand with your wedding planner and venue to create backup plans, ensuring a seamless experience. Some of our most breathtaking photos have been taken on rainy days, and you can count on our expertise to capture stunning images, no matter the forecast.
Do you create a photography timeline?
I create a customized wedding photography timeline for each couple to make sure every important moment is captured while keeping the day stress-free and flowing smoothly. Typically, I’ll work with you (and your planner, if you have one) to understand your priorities—like whether you want a first look, how much time you’d like for portraits, and when key events (ceremony, speeches, first dance, etc.) are happening. From there, I’ll build a detailed photography timeline that balances beautiful coverage with enough breathing room so you can enjoy your day without feeling rushed.
